Any home built in the Jackson Hole area today is most likely going to be a work of art; and the Butterfly residence is a really good example.  A beautiful blend of modern western architecture, this residence made home-of-the-year for Mountain Living magazine.

The Challenges

The real challenge on this project was seamlessly integrating Unilux windows with exterior shadow boxes, an integral part of the architects design.  The result is a stunning look, and we hope all parties involved appreciate the extra time and effort needed to achieve this look, without sacrificing and in fact, improving the weather seal.

Winter conditions are always a challenge. Every contractor in the North knows you want to be completely weathered in by the time the snow flies.  Still, the construction process is often an untamed beast complete with its own schedule in mind.  If each critical process is delayed by just a few days, the midpoint can be pushed well in to winter.  This means dealing with all the challenges that come with winter construction. Short days, sub-zero temperatures, and severely inclement weather. Our install crews are starting to get very accustomed to working in these conditions.
